Controlling Machines and Multiplying Forces

Cadets had an opportunity in at December’s meetings to learn about hydraulic engineering through hands-on activities of building real machines to see how hydraulics can help control or multiply forces. The cadets built several model machines and practiced lifting, turning and moving various items. They worked in small groups to learn about team work, how to effectively communicate and follow the instructions. The machines are located at the squadron building and can be used for future projects which expand on what they’ve learned. Good job, Cadets!

How TheĀ Bernoulli Effect Makes Planes Fly

At a recent meeting, Cadets learned about plane power plants and propulsion, gliders and hot air balloons. They built gliders and test flew them to see how to control flight. Aerospace education takes place every month.
